As a Griller/Cook at Chavira's Market, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers enjoy fresh, flavorful, and authentic Mexican dishes. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, seasoning, and cooking food items according to recipes and customer orders.
• Operating grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensuring food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented to company standards.
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, cooking equipment, and workstations.
• Monitoring food inventory and notifying supervisors when supplies need replenishing.
• Following all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Assisting with food preparation, portioning, and storage.
• Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order completion, even during busy periods.

We’re seeking a motivated and reliable individual with the following qualifications and skills:

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a cook, griller, or in food service.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Skills:
• Food preparation and cooking techniques
• Grill and kitchen equipment operation
• Food safety and sanitation practices
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Teamwork and clear communication
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Capable of lifting and carrying supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
