What You'll Do

• Greet and check in patients, collect demographics, and scan IDs and insurance cards
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments for multiple providers
• Answer multi-line phones, route calls, and take accurate messages
• Collect copays and balances, and reconcile daily payments
• Assist with authorizations, referrals, and medical records requests
• Help patients complete intake paperwork and forms, including disability paperwork as needed
• Request imaging and prior records from outside offices
• Maintain a clean, welcoming front office and waiting area
• Coordinate with back office staff, medical assistants, and surgery coordinators to keep patient flow on schedule

What We're Looking For

• 1+ year of front desk experience in a medical office (specialty or surgical practice a plus)
• Working knowledge of insurance verification, including HMO, PPO, Medi-Cal, and Medicare
• Experience with EMR/practice management systems (AdvancedMD a plus)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while staying calm and professional
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willing to travel to our Glendora office as needed to provide coverage
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
