Job DescriptionDewberry is seeking a Senior Project Manager to serve the vital function of positioning the company in the Transportation Market, with specific focus on rail transit, bus, multi-modal clients in the Northeast. The successful candidate will join our growing Northeast Environmental group and will be based in our Boston MA office to increase the company’s visibility, presence and resources in the transit market. The team player we seek will be a transportation practitioner with regional experience in the transit industry, with an understanding of intermodal and pedestrian interface. The successful candidate should also have significant relationships with transit clients and the industry.This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to take a leadership role on high-profile transportation and transit projects. ResponsibilitiesPromote the ability to market and sell Dewberry transit services, build and maintain client relationships with a focus on growthManage contracts, multi-disciplined transit initiatives, for diversified clients and multi-disciplined planning teams Lead and mentor Dewberry planning staff Interact on multi-disciplinary teams to incorporate and expand our capabilities in intermodal transit activitiesBuild trusted relationships with clients, transportation agencies, at the local, state, and federal levels. Serve as a strategic advisor, helping clients navigate transit and multi-modal challenges while advancing critical infrastructure projects.Support transit agency initiatives and expand transit operations and coordination, facilities, multi-modal strategies, and feasibility studiesDetermine scope of work and prepare staff hour estimates for transit planning tasks. Required Skills & Required ExperienceBachelor’s Science degree in Engineering Planning or related field15 - 20+ years’ experience in transportation industry5-10 years’ experience in project managementAbility to develop and implement multi-disciplinary and multi geographical client action plansAbility to directly develop new work for rail and transit clientsMassachusetts and New England agency and regulatory relationships / experience is highly preferredExcellent communication, conflict resolution and project management skills and work experienceActive/past involvement with professional organizations and/or interest in advancing involvement at the State or national levelDon’t meet every single requirement?
