PACKAGING OPERATOR (3rd Shift)

Palermo's is looking for a Packaging Operator to help keep our pizza production lines running safely, efficiently, and smoothly. In this role, you'll operate and monitor packaging equipment, ensure products meet our quality standards, and work alongside a dedicated team to deliver great pizza to customers across the country.

Where you’ll work…

Located in West Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Palermo’s manufacturing facility is part of our growing pizza production operations, where teamwork, innovation, and a commitment to quality come together to produce great-tasting frozen pizzas.

Our fast-paced manufacturing environment features production and packaging equipment, with dedicated team members working together to ensure our pizzas meet the highest standards of food safety, quality, and efficiency.

What you’ll do…

• Operate, monitor, and adjust packaging equipment to keep production lines running efficiently and minimize downtime.
• Set up packaging machinery and make necessary adjustments during production and product changeovers.
• Inspect packaged products to ensure proper labeling, sealing, coding, and overall quality.
• Identify and troubleshoot minor equipment issues, communicating more complex problems to Maintenance or leadership.
• Monitor packaging materials and replenish supplies to maintain continuous production.
• Complete required production documentation and accurately record operating information.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following food safety, quality, and company procedures.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance team members to meet daily production goals.

What You Bring…

• Previous experience operating production or packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience in food manufacturing or a similar fast-paced production setting is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn equipment operations, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing safe, high-quality products.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, complete basic production documentation, and perform basic math.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with manufacturing operations.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures, maintain good attendance, and work in a team-oriented environment.
