Introduction This Management Service position serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. Grade 13 Location of Position Carroll County, Maryland Police & Correctional Training Commission 6852 4th Street, Sykesville, MD 21784 Position Duties Performs general maintenance repairs and services to maintain the building and grounds of the Public Safety Education and Training Center and ensure ongoing operations for all critical services. Duties include HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry/construction, landscaping, janitorial, and other tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Experience: Five years of experience in building maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry/construction, or a related field. Desired or Preferred Qualifications Supervisory experience including the responsibility for assigning, reviewing and approving the work of other building maintenance workers. Prior experience performing general maintenance repairs for a state or public facility/building. Selection Process Candidates are ranked as Best Qualified, Better Qualified, or Qualified and placed on the eligible employment list for at least one year.
