IT Sales Account Executive - Tennessee Market

Silex Data Solutions is a  Systems Integrator and Value-Added Reseller (VAR)  based in Franklin, TN. We focus on helping enterprise customers modernize, secure, and scale their environments through  AI, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, analytics, and managed services  solutions.

What We’re Looking For  

We need an  experienced IT sales professional  who has lived and worked in the  IT sales world . If you’ve carried a bag at a VAR, worked with OEM partners, or cut your teeth at companies like CDW, Insight, Logicalis, ePlus, or a similar regional/national reseller, we want to talk to you. 

This is  not an entry-level role . You already understand how the VAR/channel ecosystem works and don’t need “VAR 101.” 

The Role  

You will own  new business development  and  account growth  across the  Nashville metro and greater Tennessee market . You’ll work directly with mid-market and enterprise clients, positioning Silex’s full portfolio: 

  • AI 
  • Cloud 
  • Infrastructure 
  • Cybersecurity 
  • Networking 
  • Analytics 
  • Managed Services 

This is a  remote position , but you must be located in or willing to work the  Nashville, TN area  with regular in-person customer and partner engagement. Candidates outside of Tennessee will not be considered. 

What You’ll Do  

  • Hunt and close  net-new business  across Tennessee — this is primarily a  new logo  role 
  • Manage and grow  existing accounts  with a consultative, solutions-first approach 
  • Leverage  OEM and vendor partner relationships  (Cisco, Dell, HPE, Microsoft, Palo Alto, etc.) to co-sell and build pipeline 
  • Present proposals and solutions to IT and business decision-makers (CIO, CTO, CISO and their teams) 
  • Forecast accurately and maintain a clean, active pipeline in CRM 
  • Attend partner events, vendor trainings, and maintain relevant sales certifications 
  • Collaborate with internal technical and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes for customers 

You’re a Great Fit If You Have  

  • 3–10+ years of IT sales experience at a  VAR, or OEM — this is  non-negotiable  
  • proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in IT solutions sales 
  • Working knowledge of  Cloud, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Networking, and/or Managed Services  
  • Experience navigating  complex sales cycles and selling to  C-suite stakeholders  
  • An  active book of relationships in the Tennessee market — you know people and they know you 
  • Comfort working  independently and remotely without hand-holding 
  • Strong communication skills and a disciplined approach to pipeline and territory management

Bonus Points – We’re Especially Excited to Talk If You Have  

  • Experience at  a local VAR , or a comparable national/regional VAR 
  • Established  OEM/vendor relationships in the Tennessee market 
  • Experience selling both  product and  managed services  
  • Familiarity with public sector, healthcare, or other regulated industries (nice to have, not required)
