Greenskeeper

The Greenskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course. Job schedule is Mon - Thurs 8 hours each day, Friday 1/2 day, one weekend day (Sat. or Sunday) 1/2 day. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented Must possess the ability to design, coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation Must be dependable Responsibilities Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager Benefits 401(k) Retirement Plan Health and Dental Care Disability Insurance Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Account (HSA) Legal Assistance Paid Time-Off Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
