divh2Process Operators/h2pCabot is seeking Process Operators to join the Battery Materials team located at Cabots primary CNS production and RD facility in Billerica, MA./ppThese positions are responsible for running chemical process systems and related equipment for both production and RD work in a safe manner and following plant safety policies and procedures. Additionally, these positions work on Cabots best-in-class product of conductive carbon nanomaterial, that has a range of applications including plastic composites and batteries. Carbon Nanostructures (CNS) are produced in a unique roll-to-roll Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) process./ppThe Cabot CNS team will provide a thorough training/shadowing program to ensure new members are fully cross trained in all aspects of the production process including quality control testing and basic maintenance. Following the training program, new members will transition into their dedicated shifts listed below:/pulli2nd Shift: Operational hours 2PM 11PM (Shift Differential +$1.25)/lili3rd Shift: Operational hours 10PM 7AM (Shift Differential +$2.25)/li/ulpHow Youll Make an Impact:/pulliControls chemical process and operates all related equipment using the distributed control system (LabView). Follows work instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Product Quality Control Plans (PQCP)./liliAdjusts controls to regulate variables as per instructions. Performs set up procedures to prepare systems for operation./liliMay support in troubleshooting the process to maintain required operating conditions. Conducts in process Quality Control testing./liliPerforms minor maintenance on process and support equipment./liliMay use business management system to enter work orders and requisitions./liliTransfer and move materials sometimes heavy items. Assists in packaging product for shipment and in loading/unloading product or raw materials./liliParticipates in scheduled safety meetings and completes safety training requirements./liliPerforms other duties as assigned. Keeps work area safe and clean./liliSupports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001 technical specification, as applicable to the site/region./li/ulpWhat Youll Bring to Cabot:/pulliHigh School diploma, or equivalent./liliMinimum of 1-3 years of chemical operation experience is required./liliManufacturing certification a plus./liliManual dexterity, accuracy and attention to details. General mechanical aptitude./liliAble to read and interpret complex operating instructions. Basic knowledge of shop mathematics in order to interpret quality control results./liliHigh level of safety awareness and attention to details./liliWritten, verbal communication and active listening skills. Capacity to cross-train with other operating units. Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team-based environment./liliOrganizational and record keeping skills. Familiarity with computers as a user./liliFlexibility in performing changing assignments and work schedules. Will be required to work off-shift hours./liliAbility to lift 50lbs and use material handling equipment./liliAbility to remain calm and react effectively in critical situations./li/ulpHow Well Support Your Success:/pulliThe pay for this role is $22.84-$31.40 an hour during the training period. However, when the assigned shifts start, shift differentials begin: 2nd Shift: +$1.25 and 3rd Shift: +$2.25.
