Job Summary and Qualifications The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) serves as a key member of the unit‑based leadership team, managing patient‑centered care during the designated shift. The CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes. What You Will Do in This Role Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team. Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and other managers to foster teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service. Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary. Help operationalize nursing strategies such as employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to improve engagement. Recommend and implement strategies related to interviewing, selecting, training new staff, and performing performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor resources according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines. Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment. Qualifications Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Minimum two years of acute‑care hospital Med‑Surg experience. Leadership, management or charge nurse experience highly desirable.
