POSITION SUMMARY: THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THE INTEGRITY AND ACCURACY OF FINANCIAL INFORMATION THROUGH PREPARATION OF JOURNAL ENTRIES, ACCOUNT RECONCILIATIONS, FINANCIAL REPORTING, BUDGETING SUPPORT, AND MONTH-END CLOSE ACTIVITIES. REPORTING DIRECTLY TO THE CONTROLLER, THIS POSITION SUPPORTS MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS THROUGH COST ACCOUNTING, INVENTORY MANAGEMENT, FINANCIAL ANALYSIS, INTERNAL CONTROLS, AND COMPLIANCE ACTIVITIES. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts. Perform month-end and year-end close activities. Prepare account reconciliations and financial reports. Support manufacturing cost accounting, inventory analysis, and fixed asset accounting. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and variance analysis. Support internal and external audits and maintain strong internal controls. Support special projects and process improvement initiatives led by the U.S. Controller. Assist with ERP System Maintenance Help with treasury management Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CPA candidate preferred EXPERIENCE Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. ERP system experience Experience and knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting Sales Tax Experience - Avalara experience a plus SKILLS Advanced Excel and must also have be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Soft Skills: Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: THE SR. ACCOUNTANT ROLE PRIMARILY OPERATES IN AN OFFICE SETTING WITH OCCASIONAL INTERACTION IN A WAREHOUSE ENVIRONMENT. THE POSITION REQUIRES: OFFICE ENVIRONMENT: REGULAR USE OF STANDARD OFFICE EQUIPMENT SUCH AS COMPUTERS, PHONES, PHOTOCOPIERS, AND FILING SYSTEMS. LONG PERIODS OF SITTING, TYPING, ANALYZING AND REVIEWING DOCUMENTS AND SPREADSHEETS. WAREHOUSE ENVIRONMENT: OCCASIONAL VISITS TO WAREHOUSE AND PRODUCTION AREAS. EXPOSURE TO VARYING TEMPERATURES (HEAT INCLUDED), NOISE LEVELS, DUST, CHEMICALS AND MOVING EQUIPMENT. ABILITY TO WALK, STAND, AND NAVIGATE WAREHOUSE AISLES SAFELY. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: ABILITY TO LIFT AND CARRY ITEMS UP TO 20 POUNDS OCCASIONALLY. FREQUENT SITTING AND COMPUTER WORK FOR EXTENDED PERIODS.
