Job Summary The Simmons Cancer Center is looking to hire a full time Senior Program Coordinator, the primary responsibility is oversight of the study lifecycle. This includes facilitation of activation for new trials assigned to this role, including but not limited to reviewing and drafting study budgets, negotiating budgets, reviewing and providing input on the Clinical Trials Coverage Analysis; updating and reporting cancer related clinical trial data in mandatory federal systems; working closely with institutional departments to complete study-specific tasks to facilitate study activation as well as all the above tasks when they pertain to study modifications. Program coordinators provide ancillary services such as assisting in the development of policies and procedures and helping investigators determine if it is feasible to do a study at the site. This position will also mentor the entry level and mid-level staff on the team and be responsible for the successful implementation and maintenance of all studies. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Education Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Education/Social Science, or related field Experience 7 years Experience in appropriate field and May consider additional years of experience in lieu of education. Preferred Experience 2 years In supervisory capacity and Job Duties Directs, analyzes, coordinates, and evaluates program operation and procedures. Develops and/or oversees development of budget for program. Develops, cultivates, and maintains working relationships with internal/external departments/agencies and other organizations associated with and/or receiving benefit from program. Establishes program goals and objectives and directs program evaluation and quality control activities; develops and/or approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals. Recommends new policies and procedures for improvement of program activities. Plans and coordinates special events. Participates in conferences. Presents data and program information. Responsible for design, execution, and effectiveness of system of internal controls, which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded, and financial information is reliable. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Coordinates training and development of staff as necessary. Reads literature and attends functions to keep abreast of relevant scientific and technical developments related to program. Serves on committees as representative of assigned program as appropriate. May provide supervision to staff members. Performs other duties as assigned.
