Work Environment\n

This position will be carried out in a remote work setting, allowing you to impact students from the comfort of your home while maintaining flexibility to meet the needs of those you serve. Although the role predominantly involves remote responsibilities, occasional in-person visits to schools may be required to facilitate face-to-face counseling or to coordinate with educational staff. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the social, emotional, and behavioral challenges faced by students and their families.

• Develop and implement personalized service plans aimed at addressing identified needs and setting achievable goals.

• Engage in individual and family counseling sessions, providing support and guidance to help clients navigate life’s challenges.

• Utilize crisis intervention techniques and risk assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of clients in distress.

• Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and external agencies to coordinate resources and advocate on behalf of students.

• Facilitate community outreach initiatives to promote agency services and provide education about available resources.

• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing training workshops to enhance your skills and contribute to team success.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily support students within school environments, addressing their unique psychological and social challenges. You will work with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds, often experiencing a variety of life stressors. Your efforts will be dedicated to empowering students and their families to overcome barriers to academic success, mental health, and overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Georgia.

• Strong understanding of social justice issues, community resources, and trauma-informed care practices.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including cultural competence and effective problem-solving ability.

Preferred Experience\n

While required experience consists of at least one year in a social service agency or similar setting, we highly value candidates with additional experience in school social work, crisis intervention, or direct client advocacy. Familiarity with behavioral health interventions and collaborative efforts with educational staff will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
