The Supply Chain Manager will initially support the existing operations while helping establish consistent purchasing and supply chain practices across multiple locations and future acquisitions.The ideal candidate comes from a metal-intensive manufacturing environment and combines strong purchasing experience with solid ERP/MRP, inventory management, supplier negotiation, and cost-reduction skills.Requirements5+ years of progressive supply chain, purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or materials management experience within manufacturingStrong experience purchasing metals, wire, steel, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, plated materials, packaging, or similar manufacturing commodities/componentsStrong understanding of inventory management, safety stock, material planning, and supplier performanceDemonstrated success negotiating supplier agreements and identifying cost-reduction opportunitiesStrong working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and the ability to use system data to drive purchasing and inventory decisionsUnderstanding of supply chain KPIs including purchase price variance, commodity/index pricing, on-time supplier performance, vendor quality, and RMAsStrong analytical, communication, negotiation, and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively in a hands-on, smaller-to-mid-sized manufacturing environmentNice to HaveMulti-site manufacturing or supply chain responsibilityExperience with Infor SyteLineExperience with fasteners, cold heading, wire products, metal forming, stampings, screw machining, fabricated metals, or industrial componentsExperience consolidating suppliers or standardizing purchasing practices across multiple facilitiesExperience leading or developing buyers/purchasing personnelResponsibilitiesLead purchasing, sourcing, inventory management, and supplier management activitiesAnalyze inventory xhyhwjd levels and establish appropriate safety stocks across operationsNegotiate pricing, long-term agreements, and commercial terms with key suppliersMonitor raw-material and commodity pricing trends and identify opportunities to reduce cost and supply riskDevelop alternate suppliers and strengthen the overall supplier baseTrack supplier performance, purchasing KPIs, cost savings, and key supply chain initiativesPartner with operations and leadership to improve material availability while managing inventory investmentUse ERP/MRP data to improve purchasing, planning, inventory visibility, and decision-makingSupport supplier consolidation and purchasing standardization across multiple locationsHelp build scalable supply chain processes as the organization continues to grow through acquisition
