Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor Environmental,Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor PositionSummary The Environmental,Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor is responsible for leading and promoting aculture of safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliancethroughout the manufacturing facility. This position partners with alldepartments to ensure a safe working environment while supporting operationalexcellence, continuous improvement, and employee engagement. The EHS Supervisordevelops, implements, and maintains programs that protect employees, companyassets, and the environment while ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and allapplicable federal, state, and local regulations. EssentialResponsibilities Lead and promote aproactive safety culture through employee engagement and leadership. Ensure compliance withOSHA, EPA, DOT, and all applicable environmental, health, and safetyregulations. Develop, implement, andmaintain EHS policies, procedures, and work instructions. Conduct routine safetyinspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and eliminatehazards. Lead investigations forinjuries, near misses, property damage, and environmental incidents,identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Track, trend, and reportkey EHS performance indicators (KPIs) to plant leadership. Facilitate safetycommittee meetings and follow up on action items. Coordinate new hireorientation and ongoing EHS training for all employees. Maintain OSHA logs,environmental records, permits, and regulatory documentation. Oversee contractorsafety and ensure compliance with company safety standards. Manage emergencyresponse plans, evacuation procedures, fire prevention, and first aidprograms. Support continuousimprovement initiatives by integrating safety into operational processes. Partner with Operations,Engineering, Human Resources, and Maintenance to improve workplace safetyand ergonomics. Conduct Job HazardAnalyses (JHAs) and support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding,confined space, and other critical safety programs. Monitor environmentalcompliance, including waste management, spill prevention, stormwater,hazardous materials, and recycling programs. Serve as the facilitysubject matter expert for EHS compliance and regulatory inspections. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree inEnvironmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, IndustrialHygiene, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Three to five years ofEHS experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge ofOSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations. Experience conductingincident investigations and implementing corrective actions. Excellent communication,leadership, and coaching skills. Strong analytical andproblem-solving abilities. Proficient in MicrosoftOffice and EHS reporting systems. PreferredQualifications OSHA 30-HourCertification. Certified SafetyProfessional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or CertifiedIndustrial Hygienist (CIH). First Aid/CPR/AEDInstructor Certification. Lean Manufacturing orSix Sigma experience. Experience with ISO14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
