Radiology Technician Student

How you will contribute Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of anatomy, skill and understanding of image quality. Must be able to communicate to patients the nature of the tests and relieve their anxiety. Must demonstrate an understanding of Radiographic Positioning, Radiographic Technique, Radiation Safety, Imaging Equipment, Infection Control and Quality Control techniques. Presents a pleasant and helpful manner to patients, physicians, subordinates and department staff. Assists in maintaining a work area free from hazards. Must perform routine diagnostic imaging studies as needed and vary work schedule. The student radiologic technologist must provide services to all patient populations: neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Ensures that patient examinations are performed accurately and timely; not to exceed 30 minutes. Provides accurate patient positioning, computer entries and filming. What we are looking for High school graduate or equivalent. Must be working on completion of a bachelor's degree, Diploma or Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology (verification from school required). BLS required.
