We provide the resources, inspiration, and focus—if you have the passion and spirit to dream big, then we want to shape a better tomorrow with you.We are seeking an experienced system engineer to lead the Houston Orion Test Lab facility, including:Onsight oversight of operations personnel including staffing and performance reviewsDirect team on priorities and scheduling to support operations scheduleSupport of maintaining lab certificationWork with Control Account Manager (CAM) to manage cost and schedulePerforms technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering work experienceDemonstrated experience in anomaly troubleshooting and problem resolutionDemonstrated leadership experience in an integrated hardware/software test environmentUS Citizenship required to perform the taskDesired SkillsDemonstrated knowledge of test processes and disciplineDemonstrated behaviors of a systems problem solver; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive changeDemonstrated ability to provide guidance on priorities and tasking to a teamFamiliarity with spacecraft architecture and avionics and ground subsystems (i.e., spacecraft and ground network, GN&C, telemetry and ground processing, displays and controls)Automation Framework experienceExperience reading and working to mechanical and electrical engineering drawingsProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practicePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $145100.00 - $269500.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
