Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized methods and observational assessments.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies encompassing both immediate goals and prolonged communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy targeting communication, linguistics, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to formulate integrated care plans.
• Provide education and resources to patients and families for ongoing progress outside the clinical environment.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care for all patients.
• Keep comprehensive and timely documentation in accordance with local, federal, and institutional guidelines.
• Stay abreast of innovations in the speech pathology field through ongoing education and peer interactions.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
