What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff visitors youth residents and/or authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points verify credentials and authorization maintain visitor records and direct individuals in accordance with facility procedures.
• Control access to restricted areas and report unauthorized access attempts suspicious activity and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points facility areas and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Must meet DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccination requirements.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
