Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Adult Home Health

PediaStaff is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an adult home health opportunity in San Diego, CA . This is a contract position with flexible scheduling and assignment length , ideal for an SLP who values autonomy, meaningful one-on-one patient care, and a collaborative clinical environment.

This opportunity is with an established multi-state home health organization known for its person-centered approach , commitment to high-quality care in the home , and strong interdisciplinary team model supporting adult and senior patients.

Position Overview

The SLP will provide speech therapy services to adult patients in their homes , including evaluation, treatment planning, direct intervention, patient/caregiver education, and coordination with the care team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans
• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home setting
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on goals and home programs
• Document visits and progress in a timely manner
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team

Qualifications

• Active California SLP license
• Experience with adult patients required
• Home health experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable working independently and managing a flexible schedule
• Current BLS/CPR
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
