About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Madison, Wisconsin, 53701!

• Provide direct patient care in a Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant (Heme/ONC/BMT) inpatient setting
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy treatments in accordance with facility protocols; Chemotherapy Certification required
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias and heart blocks; telemetry competency exam must be passed prior to start
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Document all patient care activities accurately using the EPIC electronic health record system

• Active RN license required
• BLS certification required - American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Chemotherapy Certification required
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in Heme/ONC/BMT; experience at a Level 1 trauma center or similarly sized facility required
• EPIC experience required
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required; strict pass/fail criteria apply with up to three attempts)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered

• Experience in a Magnet-designated hospital or major academic medical center
• Familiarity with bone marrow transplant protocols and oncology-specific nursing care
• Experience interpreting both adult and pediatric cardiac rhythms
