About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Endoscopy/GI Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care. Refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract. Candidates must pass a skills exam during orientation. An open book exam will be conducted and all necessary resources will be provided. A minimum score of 90% is required to pass. Recovery of pediatrics is not performed in this unit. The RN staff ratio is 1:1. Endoscopy patients will have prep responsibilities. Anesthesia will be used in all sedation cases. Bronchoscopies will rarely be performed. Technician duties will only be assigned if the RN is competent and comfortable. ERCPs will be performed in this unit. The facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center. The hospital is an accredited Chest Pain Center. There are various local attractions and events throughout the year. The cancellation policy allows for the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. The charting system used is EPIC.
