About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Staff Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of six months to three years of nursing experience License: Current state RN License Certifications: BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross) Must-Have: ICU/CCU experience preferred Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. Prevention of illness and injury is a key responsibility, along with alleviating suffering through diagnosis and treatment. The RN advocates for individuals and families while providing care. The RN is accountable for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development. This includes adherence to the Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Job Responsibilities: Assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care for a group of patients. Serves as a primary nurse or accountable nurse as designated by unit assignment. Educates patients and families in health promotion and disease management using available resources. Utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications according to policy. Shares responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization. Complies with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements. Actively participates in and supports the Nursing Shared Governance Model. Engages in professional development and completes all mandatory education requirements. Integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice. Provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. Will perform other duties as assigned.
