Urologist Opportunity

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Our organization is currently seeking a Urologist to join the Department of Surgery. This department supports Valleywise Health, a community hospital recognized as a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center by both the State and the American College of Surgeons, located in the metropolitan area of Phoenix. The facility is equipped with advanced technology, including endoscopic tools, a urodynamic lab, and the da Vinci surgical robotic system.

• Serve as a faculty member within the Department of Surgery, contributing to graduate medical education programs.
• Assist in the development of the clinical service line, offering both inpatient and outpatient general urology services in elective and emergency care settings.
• Participate in shared call coverage and adopt a collaborative approach to patient management.
• Engage in research initiatives and play a pivotal role in expanding our robotics program for urology patients.

• Completion of an accredited urology residency program.
• Board certified and/or board eligible, with eligibility for an unrestricted Arizona Medical license; J1 Visa applicants will be considered.
• Preference will be given to candidates with fellowship training or significant experience in robotic-assisted surgery.

We are a not-for-profit faculty practice plan operated by physicians, comprising over 400 providers across various medical and surgical specialties. Our physicians hold faculty positions and engage in inter-professional education through the Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance, which includes a fully accredited ACGME General Surgery Residency. Notably, we host the only ACGME accredited Surgical Critical Care residency in Phoenix and are among 13 hospitals nationwide accredited by the American College of Surgeons for Adult & Pediatric Trauma and Burns.
