Job Description

This role focuses on disassembling, machining, blending, and repairing aero-engine turbine airfoil components in a clean, climate-controlled facility. You will work with a variety of CNC and manual equipment, hand tools, and power tools to support precision manufacturing and repair of low-pressure turbine (LPT) blades and related components.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble aero-engine turbine airfoil components in preparation for repair and machining.

• Perform machining operations on components using CNC and manual lathes, mills, and grinders.

• Blend, deburr, and grind LPT blades and other turbine components to precise specifications.

• Use hand tools and power tools to perform detailed mechanical assembly and finishing work.

• Operate saws and related equipment safely to cut or prepare components as required.

• Manufacture and blend ducts and other related parts according to work instructions.

• Follow FAA-regulated instructions and documentation accurately during repair and assembly activities.

• Read and interpret written instructions in English to complete tasks correctly and safely.

• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures, including use of required personal protective equipment such as steel-toe footwear.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet quality, safety, and production goals.

Essential Skills

• Ability to disassemble and handle aero-engine turbine airfoil components.

• Experience with machining operations using CNC and manual lathes, mills, and grinders.

• Proficiency in blending, deburring, and grinding metal components, including LPT blades.

• Skill in using hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly and finishing work.

• Capability to perform saw operation safely and accurately.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail in a manufacturing or repair environment.

• Ability to read and write English to understand and follow written instructions and FAA-regulated documentation.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing ducts or similar components.

• Experience in mechanical assembly within an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.

• Comfort working with FAA-regulated instructions and quality standards.

• Willingness to complete required training during the first days on the job.

• Ability to consistently follow safety protocols and use required protective equipment, including steel-toe footwear.

Work Environment

The role is based in a state-of-the-art engine low-pressure turbine (LPT) blade repair facility that is clean and climate controlled. You will work with CNC and manual lathes, mills, grinders, saws, and a variety of hand and power tools in a structured, safety-focused environment. Shift options include Shift B (Monday through Thursday, 3:00 pm to 1:00 am), Shift C (Friday through Sunday, 5:00 am to 5:00 pm), and Shift D (Friday through Sunday, 5:00 pm to 5:00 am), with a 5% shift differential for second, third, and weekend shifts. Steel-toe footwear is required as part of the dress code to ensure safety on the shop floor.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita Falls, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
