You'll plan outings, lead group games, help residents rediscover hobbies they love, and be a familiar, friendly face residents look forward to seeing.What You'll DoHelp plan and lead individual, small-group, and large-group activities that residents genuinely enjoyBuild strong communication with residents, families, coworkers, and outside partners so everyone's needs are heard and metContribute ideas to the monthly activity calendar and help track attendanceSupport quality improvement efforts alongside the Activities DirectorTake part in discharge planning and help create personalized activity care plansCoordinate transportation for resident outings, appointments, and dischargesBuild a variety of engaging options each month — outings, group events, and in-room activities for residents who are bed-bound or isolatedEncourage residents to explore hobbies, crafts, and reading, and provide materials like Braille books or audiobooks as neededHelp with assessment documentation and quarterly progress notesKeep the Activities Department clean, organized, and welcomingWhat You'll BringHigh school diploma or equivalentA year of experience in long-term care is a plus, but not required — we value the right attitude just as much as experienceStrong communication skills and comfort reading and following procedures and instructionsBasic math skills (fractions, percentages, ratios)Good problem-solving instincts and the ability to follow written, verbal, or scheduled instructionsPhysical stamina: this is an active role with lots of standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbsThe EnvironmentA warm, low-to-moderate noise setting where your presence truly matters to the people you serve.If you're ready to make a real difference in residents' lives every single day, we'd love to hear from you.
