OR / Circulating Registered NurseCareerNation is seeking experienced OR / Circulating Registered Nurses for multiple contract opportunities at ambulatory surgery centers in Austin, TX.Rather than requiring every nurse to fit one rigid schedule or surgical specialty, we are looking to match qualified RNs with the assignment and case mix that best fits their experience.Choose a 3- or 4-day workweek, with daytime schedules and no overnight shifts. Depending on experience and availability, nurses may be matched with cases in their preferred surgical specialties.Available specialties include:Orthopedics / Sports MedicineOrthopedic Joint ProceduresENT / OtolaryngologyArthroscopyUrologyRoboticsPlasticsGeneral and other ambulatory surgical specialtiesWe'll discuss your preferred schedule, specialties and availability during the screening process.Responsibilities may include:Provide circulating nursing care during surgical proceduresComplete preoperative patient verification and surgical safety checksPrepare the operating room and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are availableAssist with safe patient positioning and surgical preparationMaintain awareness of the sterile field and proper OR practicesAdvocate for patient safety throughout the intraoperative periodCoordinate communication among surgeons, anesthesia providers and surgical staffComplete accurate intraoperative documentationParticipate in procedural time-outs and surgical countsSupport efficient room turnover and case flowFollow facility infection-control, patient-safety and clinical protocolsQualifications include:Active RN license applicable to practice in TexasPrevious Operating Room / Circulating RN experienceExperience in at least one of the listed surgical specialties strongly preferredComfortable working in an ambulatory surgery environmentStrong communication, organization and patient-safety skillsAbility to commit to the agreed contract scheduleThis is a great fit for an experienced OR nurse who wants contract-level hourly compensation without a traditional five-day hospital schedule.
