Maintenance Technician III

Job TitleThis job is responsible to maintain production manufacturing equipment including problem resolution and preventive maintenance.Principle Duties/Essential FunctionsUnderstand the mechanical function of all machines on employee's assigned product lines including necessity and frequency for preventive maintenance and efficient problem resolutionUtilize working knowledge of Sanden product and manufacturing processes to increase OEE/machine efficiency metricsAppropriate document issues and resolutions in maintenance system for future referenceEstablish and follow preventive maintenance processes and timeframes for specific machineryMonitor equipment health and make necessary repairs / upgradesOther Tasks/ResponsibilitiesEstablish spare parts for new and existing equipmentMonitor small equipment interruptions (micro stops) and make repairsProvide technical support to internal customersPrepare technical data for internal and external customersDocument equipment repairs by completing work ordersCompetenciesTechnical knowledgeProblem solvingAttention to detailCoordinate work activitiesCommunicationSafety & Health complianceClient/Customer ServiceEducationGraduate of technical school for mechanical / electrical technician, or has high school diploma and 5 years' work experience in a technical areaKnowledge, Skills and Experience5-7 years' experience in manufacturing machine maintenancePLC/CNC trouble shooting and or programmingGood communication skill with internal customersAbility to read and understand schematics and diagnose countermeasures and problem resolutionTechnical certification in machine maintenance preferredLicenses or CertificationsPowered industrial truck certifications: Forklift, Scissor lift, and boom liftPhysical DemandsRoutine lifting of 25 lb. loads may be necessaryPossible exposure to high noise levelsPossible exposure to chemicals (oils, refrigerants, solvents)Ability to work effectively under pressure and be able to prioritize workloadsPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE)Employee must regularly wear safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, and hearing protection. Other PPE may be required based on safety policies.Work Environment/HoursPrimary work area is in a manufacturing setting 85%. 15% office environment.
