Certified School Nurse

Certified School NurseAvon Grove School District is seeking a highly qualified, student-centered Certified School Nurse to serve our high school community. The successful candidate will promote and maintain the physical, mental, emotional, and social health of students while supporting a safe and healthy learning environment.The Certified School Nurse will work collaboratively with students, families, staff, healthcare providers, and community agencies to ensure student health needs are addressed and barriers to learning are minimized.Responsibilities include providing direct nursing services to students and responding to medical emergencies, assessing, monitoring, and managing student health conditions, developing and maintaining individualized healthcare plans, administering medications and treatments, conducting health screenings, monitoring immunization compliance, participating in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with families and community agencies, providing health education, promoting disease prevention, and maintaining confidentiality.Qualifications include a valid Pennsylvania Department of Education Certification as a certified School Nurse, a current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) License, current CPR/AED Certification, knowledge of federal and state regulations related to student health services, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities, and a commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, a collaborative, growth-focused culture, access to state-of-the-art facilities and technology, and professional development opportunities at every level.The Avon Grove School District is an equal opportunity education institution and will not discriminate in its educational programs, activities, or employment practices on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, sex, age, religion, ancestry, sexual orientation, handicap/disability, union membership, or other legally protected classification.
