Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 0830-2100, Call: 120 hours throughout the contract Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS (AHA) required Must-Have: Trauma and Neuro experience; Scrubbing required Description: Unit notes indicate a focus on trauma and neuro cases. The average number of cases per day is 30. Experience in scrubbing is mandatory. Charge nurse or house supervisor experience is preferred. There will be a charge and house supervisor on shift. Two operating room techs will be present on each shift. The charting system utilized is EPIC. The call response time is 30 minutes. Floating may occur only if there is an extreme need within designated zones. Scrubs will be provided. Unit-specific orientation is included. Four shifts may be canceled by the hospital during the 13-week assignment. This position requires flexibility for weekend and holiday call requirements.
