Pharmacy Technician

Your future role at a glance Location: Murfreesboro, TN Facility: Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Department: Pharmacy Schedule: 7 On/7 Off | Part-Time How you’ll make an impact in this role Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems. Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the Pharmacy department. Prepares sterile and non-sterile compounds. Repackages bulk medications. Receives and stores incoming supplies. Triages incoming calls and serves as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing information. What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need Licensure / Certification / Registration Required Credential(s): Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration. One or more of the following: Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration. Non-certified incumbents hired prior to 4/30/18 are grandfathered and not required to hold certification. Certified Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Pharmacy students actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to have certification/registration. Non-certified incumbents hired prior to 4/30/18 are grandfathered and not required to hold certification. Education High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
