ROLE SUMMARYBuild and operate the production data pipelines that power the Innovation, Data & Analytics team's AI-based workflows, implementing the canonical data model and ensuring reliable, timely, high-quality data for downstream analytics and agentic systems.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESPipeline Build & Production OwnershipBuild and maintain data pipelines against the data model and standards defined by the Governance & Compliance teamOwn production reliability of the data platform (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake), including monitoring and incident responseImplement the canonical data model in production, including OMOP/HEDIS mappings where applicableSupport agentic workflows with clean, timely, well-structured dataCollaboration & Continuous ImprovementPartner with the Senior Data Analyst to validate data model and mapping conformancePartner with the Senior Data Scientist and AI/ML Engineer to ensure pipelines meet the data needs of analytical models and agentic workflowsFlag data quality issues and advise on required solutionsIdentify opportunities to improve pipeline performance, cost, and maintainabilityDocument pipeline architecture and data flows to support governance and audit needsBASIC QUALIFICATIONSCandidate demonstrates strong technical execution and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment, partnering effectively across data science, governance, and engineering functions.Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related fieldExperience (6+ years with Bachelor's; 5+ years with Master's) in data engineering, notably in the healthcare/pharma sectorStrong SQL and Python skillsExperience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, or similar)Experience designing and orchestrating ETL/ELT pipelinesHealthcare data experience (claims, EHR, HEDIS/OMOP) preferredEffective English verbal and written communication with flexibility to be clear, consistent, compliant, and appropriate for a variety of settings including scientific/technical, regulatory, and business audiencesTechnical:Anticipates Customer and Market Needs – Knows the data landscape and downstream analytical needs; is dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal customers; always focused on patient safety first.Acts Decisively – Makes timely and effective engineering decisions; acts with urgency and removes barriers that hinder productivity.Builds Change-Agile Systems – Designs pipelines and data infrastructure that are flexible and adaptive to evolving business needs.Strategic and Innovative Thinking – Demonstrates insightful thinking by developing creative approaches to data engineering challenges.Is a role model of Pfizer's values and behaviors.Demonstrate ability to:Drive transformational changeEngage diverse technical and business stakeholdersUnderstand the applications of technology to the Life Science sectorOther Job Details:Last Date to Apply for Job: September 23rd, 2026.Locations: NYHQ or PA-Collegeville or MA-Cambridge or CT-Groton or Europe any Pfizer site or QC - MontrealNOT Eligible for Relocation Package Position is hybrid and will require to work 2 to 3 days per week on site #LI-PFEThe annual base salary for this position ranges from $124,400.00 to $207,400.00.
