Details Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 High-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit with 4 ORs, 31 rooms/beds Average daily census of 15 patients with 500-600 deliveries per month Patient population includes midwifery clients, private OB patients, adult recovery services for substance recovery, and community care clinic patients Uses Epic EMR and electronic fetal monitoring Floating required to Post Partum/Antepartum units and sister facilities offering Mother/Baby services Works every other weekend and holidays as needed Schedule posted every 6 weeks based on unit needs Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission BLS and NRP certifications required ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications preferred Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required, 2-3 years preferred High-risk L&D experience required Must be able to function in the Baby Nurse role during delivery and provide newborn care until transfer to postpartum Must be able to circulate for deliveries Experience with Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate administration required Epic EMR experience required 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Provides direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity Labor and Delivery environment Performs newborn assessments, eye care, and Vitamin K injections Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Pre-approved time off considered on a case-by-case basis and should be requested upfront First-time travelers accepted Local candidates accepted at the same rate Local radius rule of 50 miles applies Former permanent employees at this facility may return as travelers after a 3-month separation period, provided they do not reside within 50 miles of the facility Travelers may be required to float to sister facilities within the state American Traveler Job ID P-765800.
