We are seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to lead our facility in the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of a diverse fleet of trash equipment—from the precision modification of industrial trash compactors to the heavy-duty repair and structural maintenance of variety of trash dumpsters and containers. You will manage a team of welders to ensure all units are field-ready, safe, and built to spec.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Management: Oversee the modification of compactors and the fabrication/repair of dumpsters and trash containers.
- Structural Oversight: Direct all welding, plasma cutting, and metal forming. Ensure all components meet high-stress load standards.
- Quality Control: Perform final inspections on structural integrity, leak-proofing, and industrial coatings (painting) to prevent corrosion.
- Team Leadership: Schedule daily shop tasks, provide safety training to all crew members, and enforce strict OSHA safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years in waste equipment maintenance or fabrication; 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding in MIG/Stick welding, precision measurement & layout.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with different waste collection systems (Front Load, Rear Load, and Roll-Off) and their respective container requirements.
