What you will do

\n

As a Junior Retail Security Representative, you will focus on active local prospecting and acquiring new SMB retail accounts. You will manage everyday customer service needs, conduct store visits, demonstrate product value to local business owners, and handle basic contract renewals to drive growth across your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Prospect and hunt for new small and medium retail accounts through cold outreach, local networking, and field visits.
\n
• Manage a diverse portfolio of Small, Medium and mid-market retail accounts, helping store Directors select appropriate security tags, sensors, and basic surveillance setups.
\n
• Build direct, working relationships with store managers, local franchise owners, and store operations staff.
\n
• Conduct site walkthroughs to identify inventory loss risks and recommend entry-level Sensormatic solutions.
\n
• Prepare basic sales quotes, present solution options, and close standard commercial agreements for local accounts.
\n
• Track outbound outreach and manage leads through sales pipeline tools from initial contact through installation setup.
\n
• Assist local clients with order tracking, initial product setup, and day-to-day service inquiries.
\n
• Coordinate with local technicians and field operations teams to schedule equipment deliveries and installations.
\n
• Maintain weekly call targets, field visit logs, and activity reports within the sales CRM.
\n
• Monitor local competitor activity and identify new retail openings in your assigned territory.

How You Will Do It

• Maintain a high level of outbound activity, including cold calls, email campaigns, and in-person visits to retail stores.
\n
• Act as a responsive, reliable point of contact for store owners and managers.
\n
• Work independently to manage daily outreach schedules and field visits efficiently.
\n
• Partner with senior sales reps and technical support to learn advanced products and close larger opportunities.

What we look for

\n

\n
• BS/BA degree or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Recent college graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
\n
• Experience or background in sales, retail, operations, strategic account management, or customer service within the retail sector. Direct sales experience is preferred but not required for candidates with strong transferable skills.
\n
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales and performance goals.
\n
• Comfort or experience with outbound lead generation, cold calling, or door-to-door sales visits.
\n
• Familiarity with basic sales tools (CRM, lead lists) or willingness to learn quickly.
\n
• Strong verbal communication skills for presenting product benefits directly to business owners.
\n
• Strong transferable skills, including exceptional interpersonal, communication, customer service, research, presentation-building, and problem-solving abilities.
\n
• 1–2 years of experience in sales, account management, customer support, or a related role (internships considered).
\n

• Experience selling security, loss prevention, or related technology solutions within the retail vertical.

• Prior experience in retail, field sales, or local B2B service outreach.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $72,000 - $108,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account volume and margin on a project, quarterly, and annual basis. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
