Location: Binghamton, NY Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Work Setting: In Person Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Optometrist to provide comprehensive primary eye care to an established patient base with the support of an experienced clinical and administrative team.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform comprehensive and routine eye examinations.
• Provide primary vision care to patients ages 5 and older.
• Provide pediatric eye care.
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, including dry eye and other ocular diseases.
• Prescribe corrective lenses for spectacles and contact lenses.
• Provide contact lens dispensing and related services.
• Perform tonometry and other routine diagnostic procedures.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients.
• Handle ocular emergencies and urgent care needs.
• Educate patients on eye health, vision correction, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EHR/EMR systems.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare providers to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• See approximately 20-24 patients per day, depending on appointment types and provider experience.

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active New York State Optometry License.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic abilities with a patient-centered approach.
• Experience with direct patient care and treatment.
• Experience with contact lens dispensing.
• Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility and professionalism when working with patients of all ages.
• Experience with pediatric optometry and ocular disease management preferred.
• Experienced providers and recent graduates are welcome to apply.
