Director of Fiber Operations - OH/IN

TekCom Resources is seeking aÂ Director of Fiber Operations Â for a fast-growing, outside plant construction firm in the OH/IN region! The ideal candidate will have a backgroundÂ directing all aspects of OSP/Fiber construction projects to ensure schedules, budgets and contractual commitments are being met. YouâllÂ provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to construction personnel and OSP vendors. This is an entrepreneurial, new-build environment that will allow you to create policies, procedures and solutions that make sense to expedite deployment.
As a regionally-focused Director of Operations, you will be traveling between company offices in Indiana and Ohio. We are seeking candidates that are in the Columbus, OH, Indianapolis, IN, Findlay, OH or Richmond, IN area. This position requires 60-80% travel between offices.
Responsibilities
Forward facing interactions with senior leadership on our side and the customer side.
Overseeing all day-to-day construction and working within SOPs
Overseeing the compilation of invoices and as-builts
P&L responsibility and minimum profitability
Growth and development of Sunrise managers
Process improvement as necessary
Market growth where possible
Vendor management
Travel between markets as necessary and needed
Proven ability to start and grow individual offices as needed
What we would like to see
At least 10 years of telecommunications industry experience
Prior experience in OSP Operations, standing up an office
Project Management, business operations experience
