REMOTE Lead Developer- SQL and .NET

Lead Developer- SQL and.NET Apex Systems, a national leader in IT Solutions, is searching for a Lead Developer specializing in SQL and .NET development for a high-growth Financial Services firm. This is a 1 year+ contract opportunity with enterprise data transformation experience and strong team collaboration. This role is perfect for someone wanting to maximize their technical capabilities through hands on development, mentoring of teammates, and collaborating on architecture design. You will partner with SQL Developers and write new SQL queries, driving a data migration into a.NET based primary application. You will also work in an Agile Scrum environment and participate in Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning Sessions, Retrospectives, and other collaboration activities. SQL tools include MS SQL, MS Server Mgmt Studio and others. Additionally, you will interact with cloud technology in Azure, CI/CD tools like Git, and Agile tools like Jira and Confluence. Day to day activities: Programming - primarily with T-SQL (MS SQL Server 2019) as well as ASP.NET and VB.NET Lead code reviews and paired programming exercises for less experienced team members Act as development SME for Scrum team when discussing user stories and work allocation, interacting with business partners, and creating architecture roadmap for project Conducting data conversions Designing, writing, and testing SQL queries Writing adhoc complex queries as requested for users and management Investigating new technologies as needed for project success Assisting in creating technical specifications and test plans Participate in Agile practices to maximize team synergy and productivity Partnering with Apex Consulting team to provide technical solutions, ensure on time delivery, and coordinate development efforts Technical stack: .NET MVC framework including ASP.NET and VB.NET SQL Server 2019, MS SQL, MS Server Mgmt Studio and other SQL development tools. Will also work with Azure as database shifts toward cloud CI/CD tools such as Git Agile tools like Jira and Confluence Required skills: Lead experience, SQL Server Database Development, .NET MVC framework: ASP.NET and VB.NET, strong communication and collaboration, Agile experience (Jira and Confluence preferred), Git. Basic qualification: Additional skills: 100% remote, long term project that is more than likely to extend past the 12 months already allocated, would be working with a large number of Apex Consultants already and would have all the resources at his/her fingertips.
