DescriptionTax Manager / Senior Manager – Indirect Tax (Sales & Use Tax)📍 Location: Remote 💼 Full-Time | Leadership OpportunityOur client is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead and enhance its multi-state Sales & Use Tax and indirect tax function while also supporting broader corporate tax initiatives across a multi-entity, multinational organization.This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed tax professional who enjoys both strategic leadership and hands-on execution, and can confidently navigate between income tax and indirect tax responsibilities.What You'll Do Own and manage the multi-state Sales & Use Tax function, including compliance, taxability determinations, filings, and reconciliations through Avalara Oversee use tax accruals and self-assessment processes across procurement and AP functions, ensuring proper tax treatment within NetSuite Monitor nexus, registrations, exemption certificates, and support voluntary disclosure agreements (VDAs) Lead indirect tax audits, respond to tax notices, and manage exposure remediation projects Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and taxing authorities Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls across the tax function Leverage and optimize the company's technology stack, including Avalara, NetSuite OneWorld, Coupa, and SalesforceWhy Consider This Opportunity?• High-impact leadership role with visibility across Accounting and Finance• Opportunity to modernize and optimize tax processes and systems• Dynamic multinational environment• Excellent career growth potentialRequirements 4+ years of experience managing indirect tax, sales & use tax audits, and exposure remediation projects Proven experience leading VDAs and multi-state indirect tax compliance Strong hands-on experience with Avalara (required) Experience with NetSuite highly preferred CPA required; Master's in Taxation preferred Experience within a multi-national, multi-entity corporate tax department highly desirable Strong leadership, communication, and process improvement skillsJob typePerm
