Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Nights

Location: Lafayette, LA Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Hours: 36 hours per week Weekly Gross Pay: $2,035.44

Position Overview

The Med Surg RN provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams during overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with facility policies and professional standards
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions throughout the shift
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate care
• Delegate and supervise tasks to licensed and ancillary staff as appropriate
• Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and culturally competent care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (compact or Louisiana license accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med Surg experience
• BLS certification required (ACLS may be preferred)
• Ability to work independently on night shift
• Strong assessment, documentation, and time-management skills
