An opportunity is available for a contracted pharmacist to support a 200+ bed community hospital. This role offers a hands-on, dynamic environment with a diverse range of responsibilities, supporting the pharmacy team as they deliver excellent patient care.

Worksite is located in Alexandria, LA, with a contract duration of 13 weeks and an immediate start date. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, with rotating hours that may include 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM–11:00 PM. Weekend shifts are required every other week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order verification and medication dispensing oversight
• Supervising pharmacy technicians and supporting workflow efficiency
• Collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to optimize medication therapy
• Applying pharmacokinetic principles to patient care decisions
• Utilizing EPIC and Pyxis systems to enhance pharmacy operations

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana pharmacist license
• Recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within interdisciplinary teams
