Part Time Accounts Payable Specialist

Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Greater New Haven County, CT Schedule: Part-Time (approximately 20-25 hours per week) Work Arrangement: Onsite Compensation: $58,240-$66,560 annualized (prorated for a 20-25 hour/week schedule). A well-established nonprofit organization is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist to support its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a mission-driven environment and is looking for a flexible part-time schedule. Responsibilities * Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner * Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation * Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments * Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies * Maintain accurate vendor records and files * Assist with expense reporting and credit card reconciliations * Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and promptly * Support month-end close activities related to accounts payable * Assist with other accounting and administrative projects as needed Qualifications * 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Experience working in a nonprofit organization is a plus, but not required What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative team and takes pride in producing accurate work.
