Senior Lease Accountant

At Dycom Industries, Inc, as a Senior Lease Accountant, you’ll play an integral part in the corporate lease and fixed assets function to ensure completeness and accuracy in financial reporting. This position has a business focus and requires you to work cross‑functionally with various departments within the organization. Benefits Weekly paychecks Paid time off, parental leave, and holidays Insurance (medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life) 401(k) with company match Stock purchase plan Education reimbursement Legal insurance Discounts on gym memberships, pet insurance, and more What You’ll Do Review and analyze lease contracts and enter and/or approve leases in the lease management system Ensure new, modified, and terminated leases are identified, entered, and approved in the lease management system for timely preparation of lease journal entries Assist with the month‑end close process including subledger work in the lease management system and fixed asset system and internal and external financial reporting deliverables (roll‑forwards, footnotes, and controls) Review and monitor balance sheet, profit and loss, and general ledger lease accounts and perform monthly reconciliations with the lease management system Assist with month‑end close related to the fixed asset system, running and tying out monthly fixed asset system reports Identify risks and assist with process improvements, design, and implementation of controls in accordance with SOX Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and analysis as needed Assist on projects, including process improvements and control initiatives, as well as system implementations Assist with ad‑hoc requests as needed What You’ll Need To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 5–7 years of experience in corporate accounting, with experience in lease and fixed assets accounting preferred Strong knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting preferred Highly self‑motivated and directed; takes initiative Strong written and oral communication skills Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities and keen attention to detail Ability to work both independently and in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment Technical competence with various software programs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) CPA preferred but not required Physical Abilities & Exposures Routinely: Engage in standard office activities such as standing, sitting, and using computers for extended periods.
