Job Description

Responsibilities:

The Safety Manager will design, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures that comply with company, local, state, and federal regulations.
Develop and execute training programs for managers and employees, focusing on workplace safety practices, fire prevention, and safe handling of chemicals and hazardous materials.
Ensure the site adheres to all OSHA regulations, including meticulous recordkeeping and safety audits.
Lead weekly safety meetings and coordinate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) training and communication initiatives.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential EHS risks, recommend corrective actions, and follow up on the implementation of these measures.
Spearhead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for incidents, injuries, and near misses, driving actionable improvements to prevent future occurrences.
Relocation provided. $125K-$160K.

Requirements

The Safety Manager will have a Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related technical discipline and 10+ years in a health and safety role within a manufacturing environment, ideally in the chemical or food industry.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation is preferred.
In-depth understanding of OSHA regulations and industrial chemical processes.
Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
