Registered Nurse Acute Care

Job Summary:

The Acute Care Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure effective care delivery and achieve optimal patient outcomes. The nurse integrates patient age and cultural diversity into care plans and actively participates in performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality of care. Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer treatments and medications as prescribed.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Participate in performance improvement activities to promote quality care.
• Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• Current certifications in CPR, ACLS, and PALS.
• Ability to utilize the nursing process effectively.
• Knowledge of administering treatments, medications, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience preferred.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in acute care settings.
• Familiarity with performance improvement techniques.
• Ability to provide culturally competent care.

Scheduling:

• Work schedule and shifts to be assigned according to hospital needs.
• May include day, evening, night, or rotating shifts.
