Accrued time is available for immediate use; prorated first year Position The Laminator performs a variety of techniques to laminate composite components according to drawings and Standard Work Instruction (SWI). Responsibilities Lay‑up composite materials on mandrels according to the manufacturing plan and Standard Work Instructions (SWI); wrap mold with composite materials, in preparation for curing process, to form composite parts. Check for accuracy in all prior documentation of manufacturing planning; report all discrepancies and schedule concerns to the supervisor. Verify materials being used are according to manufacturing plan. Verify part ID tag and sign off on work performed. Adhere to schedules and time allowances, takt time, for production requirements. Experience One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience in composite manufacturing a plus. Aerospace experience is a plus, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn go a long way. Preferred Qualifications Ability to read and understand detailed instructions and follow demonstrated steps. Basic understanding of process specifications. Excellent hand‑eye coordination. Excellent interpersonal skills. Basic math and computer skills. Computer Skills Basic computer skills Working Conditions Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled. Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels. Exposure to hazardous equipment. Exposure to contaminants. Shared workspaces with other employees. Requires handling objects of up to 30 lbs. Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending. Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime).
