Position Overview
A family in Wayland, MA is seeking a reliable, organized, and creative Nanny / Household Assistant for a full-time, long-term, live-out position caring for three school-age children, ages 8, 10, and 12. The role is split into two parts. The first part of each shift focuses on household support, including dishes, laundry, errands, light daily cleaning, and home organization. The second part focuses on the children: school pickup, driving to after-school activities, homework help, and preparing an early dinner. The children get home between 2:40 and 3:30 PM, with early release on Wednesdays and Fridays. This is a collaborative role working closely with Mom, and a cleaning team also comes to the home. The family follows a no-screens-during-the-week rule, and one child has an apple allergy. A family vehicle is provided for all child-related driving, and parking is available on site. There are three small dogs in the home, but no pet care is required. The family travels during school vacation weeks, and the nanny will travel with them. Travel accommodations are provided, and overtime is paid while traveling.

Responsibilities

• Household duties during the first part of each shift, including dishes, laundry, errands, light cleaning, and home organization
• School pickup for three children, including early-release days
• Driving children to and from after-school activities (mostly within 30 minutes)
• Homework help and supervision
• Preparing an early dinner for the children and managing an apple allergy
• Upholding the family's approach of safety, kindness, and emotional check-ins
• Traveling with the family during school vacation weeks
• Keeping the household running smoothly and on schedule

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Proven experience caring for school-age children
• Strong swimmer, comfortable swimming with the children
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Valid passport preferred
• Reliable, punctual, and highly organized
• Collaborative and creative, comfortable working alongside a parent
• Comfortable in a home with dogs
• Able to commit to a long-term position
• Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
