RAM Construction is a growing commercial general contractor specializing in renovations, restoration, and commercial construction projects. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Field Estimator who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in Xactimate. This position combines field inspections, estimating, and project coordination to ensure accurate bids and successful project execution. Responsibilities

• Perform site visits to evaluate existing conditions and accurately scope commercial renovation and restoration projects.
• Prepare detailed estimates using Xactimate and other estimating tools.
• Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Identify project risks, unforeseen conditions, and value engineering opportunities.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, inspectors, clients, and local officials throughout the estimating and preconstruction process.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation as needed.
• Maintain organized estimate files and supporting documentation.
• Meet bid deadlines while managing multiple estimates simultaneously.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship by ensuring estimates align with project specifications and client expectations.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Xactimate.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Experience performing on-site field inspections and developing project scopes.
• Excellent math, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites.

Preferred

• Experience with commercial renovations, multifamily renovations, or insurance restoration.
• Familiarity with construction management software.
• Knowledge of commercial construction methods, building codes, and permitting requirements.
• Previous experience coordinating with project managers and field personnel.
