Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Work independently or with industry specialist to troubleshoot/diagnose problems with production machinery • Set-up, run, troubleshoot, and tear down mining machinery • Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic and 24V electrical systems • Troubleshoot machinery errors • Communicate issues with machines to project management when necessary • Work with equipment operators to ensure machines are running safely and properly • Perform required refueling and lubrication tasks. • Perform other duties as required. • Ability to perform work in a safe manner, while following best practices and in accordance with company policies

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience with repair on yellow iron. • Ability to understand, follow, and communicate written and oral instructions with management or supervision. • Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently

Requirements

• Able to meet all physical requirements • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions • Able to climb, work at heights, and in confined spaces

Wages

$62.85 per hour. New hires must join Operating Engineer Local 302. Health insurance and pension are administered by Union.
