Registered Nurse Cath Lab

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. License: TX License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with charting system Epic - Travel experience required Description: The registered nurse will work in the Cath Lab. On-call and weekend shifts are required. Must be agreeable to early release when needed. Call-off policy will apply. The patient ratio on days is 1:1. Floating is not required. Staffing requirements include flexibility with scheduling. Pre-approved time off is limited to two requests. Candidates must have experience in activated clotting time (ACT) and angioplasty. Skills in cardiac interventions and management of dysrhythmias are essential. Additional skills include IV vasopressor management and procedural sedation monitoring. Emergency medications and infection prevention practices are part of the role. Candidates should be knowledgeable about advanced cardiac procedures. Expected procedures include pacemaker insertion and monitoring. Vascular closure systems and various angiography skills are required. The role includes collaboration with interdisciplinary support staff. The nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients. Candidates should be familiar with various cardiac and vascular diseases. Adaptability and teamwork are essential qualities for this position.
