CNC Setup Machinist (Mill/Lathe)

Job Description Job Description Performs complex set-ups, without supervision, on a wide variety of CNC machines in a manner, which will ensure accurate and precise compliance with design and quality standards. Monitors variations in sequence, e.g., positioning, cycle time, etc., and makes necessary corrections. Works from drawings and/or specifications with little or no direction from Team Leader. Troubleshoots complex machining job problems without supervision. Runs production and deburrs parts as required. Writes programs for CNC machines Mill/Lathe.(Mastercam) Help determine best machining process. Select and align tooling, fixtures, and attachments for machining. Adjust machine to produce a conforming product. Perform in-process inspection of own work while running machine. Complete required paperwork and keep material and paperwork organized. Provide on-the-job training to other employees in department. Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition. Works safely and complies with all established safety rules and work practices. Keeps Team Leader informed of job, machine, and equipment related problems as well as any other information related to work activity. Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment. Conform to the company quality system as documented. Willing to help out in other areas to meet our customer needs. All other duties as assigned.
